Wall-E Prototype was the first robot I ever built inspired of course from the fantastic movie Wall-E which was on of my inspirations for becoming a robotics engineer. The robot had two wheel, four AA batteries, an IR sensor and an AXEPAD microcontroller. This was before Arduino and Raspberry Pi became popular in hobby robotics.

Project Story

Wall-E prototype was capable of obstacle avoidance. It had remarkably high success rate for such a simple robot. As much as I should update the original post on Let's Make Robots for innumerable English errors, it was my very post post on a public forum, with my naiveness, joy and curiousity in all its glory, so I will leave it be. It was the first time I experienced giving 'life' to an inanimate object, and the aspiration to do this as a career thus began.
